\n\tThe A1 Group fulfills its ecological and social responsibility by promoting a more efficient, resource-friendly, and thus more sustainable way of working and living. Environmental, Social & Corporate Governance (ESG) are an integral part of the company\u2019s strategy and are seen as long-term value drivers that also entail economic benefits \u2013 for instance through reduced energy consumption, lowering both the environmental impact and costs.

With 12 goals among the three sustainability categories, we aim to minimize our ecological footprint, promote a circular economy, and broaden our initiatives for both employees and society. Please find our goals in full below.<\/p>\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n\t\n\t\t\t

A1 is on the path toward net-zero emissions. Our ambitious goals, validated by SBTi, entail a 90% reduction by 2030 of our direct emissions (Scope 1), which are company-owned, as well as of our indirect emissions, which are controlled by our company (Scope 2). In addition, we aim to reduce our other indirect emissions, which are owned by our supply chain, by 60% by 2030 (Scope 3) and by 90% by 2040 at the latest. [Base year = 2019]

Increase energy efficiency [MWh\/TB] by 80% vs. 2019

As a telecom company, we aim to improve energy efficiency [MWh\/TB] by 80% by 2030 by transitioning to the new, and more efficient 5G mobile network standard and phasing out older generations of mobile networks in the coming years. Energy efficiency programs, the expansion of fiber-optic technology in fixed networks, innovative cooling techniques, and the adoption of cloud solutions further contribute to reducing power consumption. We aim for 100% sustainable processing* of CPEs (modems, routers, TV receivers, etc.) by 2030 (*recycling, refurbishment, reuse).<\/strong>

Our goal is to promote sustainable methods across our entire operational spectrum to ensure that every returned device undergoes sustainable treatment by 2030. To achieve this, we will implement further measures to prevent waste, prioritize refurbishing, reuse, and recycling over incineration with energy recovery, and simultaneously reduce our reliance on virgin materials.

The takeback of devices* is increased up to 50% compared to the volume distributed yearly (*fixed and mobile) by 2030.
<\/strong>
Our goal is to promote a circular economy within our Group by continuously expanding our recycling and refurbishing efforts of old devices. We achieve this by taking back the devices we distribute and subjecting them to sustainable processing. By 2030, we aim to achieve the ambitious goal of a take-back rate of at least 50%. This will help us minimize waste, conserve resources, and keep valuable raw materials in the product lifecycle for as long as possible through efficient management

Achieving 1,000,000 participations in our digital competences initiatives between 2021 and 2030<\/strong>

We understand that the digital world is constantly evolving, and we want to make sure that everyone has the opportunity to learn and grow with it. That\u00b4s why we aim to reach more than 1 mn people by 2030 with our digital education initiatives, with a particular focus on children and young people within the communities where we are active in \u2013 more than four times as much as we reached in the previous decade.

As part of our commitment to our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives, our goal is to increase the share of women in management positions to 40%, while ensuring that the overall share of women in the company is increased and maintained at 40% by 2030. The A1 Group offers its employees at least four options for corporate volunteering each year until 2030.

A1 Group aims to provide its employees with opportunities to engage in social projects. To this end, we will expand our existing corporate volunteering activities in all countries within A1 Group. Back in 2023, we initiated a flagship volunteering project in each country and since then continue to steadily increase the opportunities for employee volunteer engagement.

We are committed to equal pay for equal work. Therefore, we focus on reducing the adjusted pay gap to 1% or less and continue our efforts to decrease the unadjusted pay gap* by 2030 (*according to CSRD definition).

The gender pay gap represents a significant issue in our society. As an international company, we recognize this problem and commit to taking measures to address it. We identify and implement activities to close the pay gap. Digitalization and climate change are major forces that are shaping the world we live in, and we want to ensure that our employees are equipped with the skills and knowledge they need to thrive in this ever-changing landscape. That is why we aim to increase the average learning hours to 40 hours per year by 2030. Sustainability remains of the highest importance in our company, as evidenced by the inclusion of ESG targets in management remuneration since 2020. Understanding our supply chain is crucial to minimize risks and promoting ethical and sustainable practices. We aim to assess tje risk levels of our suppliers, identify questionable practices, and take appropriate actions. Collaborating closely with JAC, an association of telecommunications companies committed to reviewing, assessing, and improving CSR practices among suppliers, we are obligated to enhance the sustainability of supply chains alongside other telecom companies. Additionally, we are developing a responsible procurement policy to reinforce our strict procurement procedures, including an annual review of at least five suppliers based on our guidelines.
