Shaping a Sustainable Future: A1 Group’s Climate Leadership and Transparency

We’re proud to announce that the A1 Group has once again secured a spot on the CDP’s prestigious A List for Climate in 2025, reaffirming our leadership in transparent climate action. This yearly recognition by the world’s largest independent system for environmental disclosure is awarded to companies demonstrating best-in-class climate transparency and leadership.

In 2025, nearly 20,000 companies were scored, out of more than 22,100 reporting through CDP’s platform: CDP: Turning Transparency to Action. Achieving a place on the A List puts us among the top 4% global leaders of companies scored by CDP – assuring all our stakeholders that A1 Group remains committed to leading the sustainable transition by example.

CDP’s scoring draws on a rigorous methodology, fully aligned with the TCFD and assigns a score from A to D. The score is based on the depth of reporting, awareness and management of environmental risks, and demonstration of best practices related to leadership in environmental matters, such as setting ambitious and meaningful targets.

At A1 Group, we take our responsibility to address climate change seriously. Our Climate Transition Plan (CTP) commits us to ambitious, science-based targets validated by SBTi in 2024, with the goal to reach Net-Zero by 2040. By 2030, we aim to reduce operational e missions (Scope 1 and 2, market-based) by at least 90% and key Scope 3 emissions by 60%, both compared to 2019. So far, we have achieved 35% reduction in total Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions from 2019 to 2024, and are therefore ahead of schedule on our path to Net Zero.

To meet these emission reduction targets, A1 is continuously expanding renewables, modernizing networks, improving energy systems, and transitioning to low-emission vehicles. Equally important is our close collaboration with suppliers to drive meaningful sustainability progress throughout our supply chain. Through comprehensive due diligence, we make sure our partners meet rigorous social and environmental standards. As a member of the Joint Alliance for CSR, we work on continuous improvement of environmental performance of our suppliers, through supplier engagement. Our supply chain also undergoes regular, independent on-site audits to assess and elevate working conditions, environmental practices, and ethical standards.

A1 remains ambitious to lead the sustainable transition by setting new benchmarks in climate action,  emission reduction and supply chain responsibility.
