Driving Sustainability in European Telecommunications: Highlights from the ETIS Working Group Meeting

On January 18th and 19th, the A1 Group hosted the ETIS Sustainability Working Group Meeting. On these two days, we had the pleasure of welcoming leading sustainability experts from the telecommunications industry to the premises of the A1 Headquarters.

ETIS is a non-profit organization that brings together the leading telecommunications providers in Europe to exchange knowledge in a trusted environment. The ETIS community consists of 30 telecommunications partners (operators) and 17 supporting parties (suppliers) representing the telecommunications industry in 21 European countries.
The event served as a platform for the ETIS Sustainability Working Group to come together, create networking opportunities, and facilitate the exchange of invaluable experiences. As hosts, we at A1 were committed to providing an appropriate environment for this important gathering.

During the meeting, participants were actively engaged in stimulating discussions, sharing insights, challenges, and best practices. Highlights of the event included open dialogue and inspiring workshops on topics such as corporate governance, circular strategies, and internal carbon pricing. These discussions not only contributed to valuable insights but also laid the groundwork for future collaborations and initiatives to promote positive changes within the telecommunications industry.

We would like to express our gratitude to ETIS for bringing together such a diverse and committed group of individuals within the Sustainability Working Group. Their efforts to advance sustainability goals and their willingness to share knowledge and experiences deserve the utmost respect. Given the success of the ETIS Sustainability Working Group Meeting, we are grateful for the opportunity to contribute to meaningful discussions and initiatives that have the potential to bring about sustainable change. We look forward to continued collaboration at our next meeting in June in Prague and to working together towards a more sustainable future for the telecommunications industry and beyond.
