School of Responsible Influencing

Today, everyone can be an influencer. But do people also take responsibility for what they post, share and the content they create? Many of them don’t. In order to change that, A1 – together with the Croatian Center for Safer Internet (CSI) – started the School of Responsible Influencing in Croatia in 2022. In 6 modules, participants learn about responsible online behavior, creating positive online content and recognizing and reporting inappropriate content and even get certified as responsible influencers by CSI in the end.

Success stories and next steps
Given the success, in order to broaden the base, Serbia also launched the School of Responsible Influencing in October 2024. And while Croatia and Serbia are already up and running, Belarus and Macedonia are just about to follow their lead. Together with their local partners they are set to start operations in the course of Q1 2025. And Austria, Bulgaria and Slovenia have also planned to join with their respective versions of the School of Responsible Influencing soon.

Strong partners, good results
One of the key factors for the success of these initiatives is the close collaboration with local NGOs in the field. These partners bring in a lot of expertise and know their markets inside out which is why we want to send out special thanks to:
– Center for Safer Internet in Croatia
– Digital Communications Institute in Serbia
– Ministry of Digital Transformation and Faculty of Computer Science & Engineering of the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University
