The Well-Being of Employees in Focus: The Employee Assistance Program at A1

At A1 Telekom Austria Group, the well-being of our employees is our top priority. As part of our Human@Center strategy, we are committed to ensuring that “well-being” is not just a buzzword but actively integrated into our daily work life. A key element of this commitment is the introduction of the Employee Assistance Program (EAP), a group-wide support service that we have launched in partnership with TELUS Health.

What makes the EAP special is that it is available free of charge and confidentially not only to our employees but also to their family members. Whether it is about issues related to family, life stages, addiction, finances, or mental health, the EAP offers comprehensive counseling and coaching services tailored to the individual needs of users. The program is available around the clock, 365 days a year, so professional support can be accessed at any time. Anonymity is preserved, as A1 does not process personal data related to the counseling sessions.

In addition to personal consultations, users can attend webinars on well-being and access a wealth of online resources. The TELUS Health EAP platform offers articles, e-books, and other helpful materials to support users in overcoming challenges independently.

The EAP also complements our existing internal services, such as the better.coach platform for professional development, occupational psychology, and occupational health services. With the EAP, we are expanding our range of support measures, creating a holistic offering for the well-being of our employees and their families. At A1, we are not only focused on delivering excellent services to our customers but also on providing sustainable support and promotion of our workforce.
