A1 Climate Vision
Climate change and digitalization are the key challenges of the 21st century. While high-performance and future-proof infrastructure is the foundation of digitalization, information and communication technology can also make a contribution to combating climate change.
However, the positive potential can only unfold if telecommunications companies like the A1 Group are committed to protecting the climate and actively align their business activities accordingly.
This is why the A1 Group has made it its goal to align activities with the principles of the circular economy and to increasingly implement initiatives in this area within the company. In addition to the commitment about expanding the lifecycle of products and setting the goal to recycle the products’ materials at the end of its useful life, this also includes activities to promote the use of fewer resources in our products together with partner companies.
The overarching goal of the A1 Group is to reduce the emissions to net zero by 2030, i.e. to cause no emissions from our own activities (Scope 1 & 2) and to achieve a 60% reduction of the emissions along the supply chain (Scope 3) by 2030.

Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
In order to make a positive contribution to environmental, social, and governance issues, the A1 Group is committed to achieving the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. This is reflected in its membership of the UN Global Compact, which has been in place since 2013. In a declaration of commitment, the A1 Group has agreed to incorporate the principles of the Global Compact, including the SDGs, into its strategy, culture, and operational activities. In terms of environmental matters, the A1 Group makes an active contribution to SDGs 7, 11, 12, and 13.
